Spectacular lifting operation at K + S Kali GmbH | 08. February 2017

During revision works in the Kali plant Hattorf (Philippstal), KVN, on behalf of our partner MAMMOET Deutschland GmbH, will play an essential role in the exchange of several major components.

Early Saturday morning the hardest part of the project had already begun: the levying of a heat exchanger with a total tare weight of 122.5t.

With the support of an auxiliary crane from the colleagues from MAMMOET, our experienced crane operators Thomas Sommer and Axel Opitz operated the Liebherr LTM 11200-9.1 of the KVN in a spectacular action.

Under the eyes of our technical director Andreas Ostermann, who had opted for the use of the world's largest telescopic crane with the setup T3YVEN with a 36m luffing fly jib and 182t counterweight, the assembly of the heat exchanger was successfully concluded just after dawn.
