Crane operator training at the KVN | 21. February 2017

From the 6th to the 11th of February, in Osnabrück the annual training for obtaining the BSK crane driver's license was held for the nineth time. (BSK stands for "Bundesfachgruppe Schwertransporte und Kranarbeiten" - "Federal Technical Unit Heavy Transports and Crane Works")

17 crane drivers from all over Germany took part at the one-week seminar that was jointly organized by the GENOSK (Genossenschaft für Schwertransporte und Kranarbeiten - Cooperative for Heavy Transport and Crane Work), the professional association BG Verkehr and the KVN and that ended on Saturday after the theoretical and practical exams.

Various subjects were taught, among which the responsibility of the crane operator, crane physics, legal regulations, load charts, attaching loads and crane technology from the perspective of the constructors. Under the proven leadership of Mr. Birkenstock and Mr. Schulz (BG Verkehr) and of Mr. Leininger (Terex Demag), the crane operators deepened their knowledge and exchanged views extensively on their experiences.

Among the successful graduates of the course are also our KVN colleagues Kevin Hellbach, Pascal Pick, Jonas Erdmann and Jan Vogel - Congratulations!
